Backbending! With strength and grace...

- In honor of Valentine's Day: a lighthearted, enlivening practice to lift lethargy and depression from the body and mind. This 2 hour workshop will revolve around postures such as ustrasana (camel) and dhanurasana (bow).
We will warm up through a flowing asana sequence, emphasizing the shoulders, spine, and front hips. We will break down shoulder and pelvic alignment to build simplicity and ease in backbending.
Backbends are often associated with opening up and creating confidence and courage. Partner work will allow us to deepen our practices (it's amazing how much a helping hand can do!) and to build confidence through communication. We will end with a 20 minute Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) - a deep guided meditation. Expect to leave feeling bouyant and grounded. Suitable for all levels.
